bacteria cultured on Mac Conkey agar

I love microbiology because i can observe these colourful colonies of bacteria, although they were cultured on smelly agars. Huhu.

The bacterias are beautiful when they actually grows, having different colour and structure.

They colours my life. Hehe. (ayat tk bley blah)

But then, i don't quite like the lab session for viruses. It make me feel like "rase macam nak lari dari lab ni dan pergi makan". My tummy keep singing though i've tried to convince that his singing is not 'merdu' at all.

Hungry + don't understand what i'm learning, is not a good combination, obviously.

By the way.. talking about viruses, one day, one of my friend told me a story. She was caught on flu. Her mother called..

Her mother: Gano sesemo tu? Ok dh ko?

Beliau: Ado la lagi.. sikit2..

Her mother: Jgn lupo la makan antivirus tu..

Beliau: *nk kno makan antivirus Karspersky ko ni?*

Dop la mok.. antibiotic lah..

Her mother: Eh2 silap.. antibiotic..

Beliau: *ketawa terbahak2*

Hehe. Hmm.. actually it is hard to create a good antiviruses. Viruses are tiny creature that act like an alien who came and conquer the world. It invade the cells and 'ambil alih pemerintahan' nucleus in the cell.

Therefore, the cell had become a base for the virus. To kill the viruses means to kill the human cells as well.

Wherelse, bacterias, they have several characteristic that make them easier to eliminate. For example, we can inhibit their cell wall synthesis, alter their cell membrane function and so on (haha.. salin dari buku ni.. blum ingat lg).

We can seperately kill bacteria without harming the host because bacterias do not conquer the cells, they infect them.

But, all of them are the creation of Allah.

The tiniest and most complex viruses or bacteria symbolize Allah's Greatness and His very detail work.

He can make us healthy, therefore He can also make us sick.

Hmm.. tiba2 je sy trfikir la kan. Konon2 nye bakteria ni syaitan. Virus pulak hawa nafsu.

Syaitan ni pade suatu mase contohnya bulan Ramadhan, diikat dan dikurung oleh Allah. Ia bukanlah sesuatu yg mustahil utk kita lawan.

Antara ubat2 anti-syaitan ni contohnya melazimkan baca doa setiap kali sebelum dan selepas buat satu pekerjaan.

Tapi hawa nafsu adelah sesuatu yg halus. Bila ia sudah menguasai diri, susah untuk kita singkirkan sebab ia dah sebati dalam darah daging.

Dalam tidak sedar, tindak tanduk kita selalu mnurut hawa nafsu sendiri. Kadang2 kita 'ter'simpan dendam, 'ter'marah org, 'ter'main internet sampai berjam-jam, 'ter'membazirkan duit dan 'ter'2 laen yang sewaktu dengannya.

Hawa nafsu bukan kawan kita, ia musuh kita.

Oleh itu, jihad memerangi hawa nafsu juga adalah satu perjuangan yang besar.

Saidina Ali r.a. pernah berkata: "Tidaklah aku dan nafsu itu, melainkan seumpama seorang pengembala kambing. Setiap kali pengembala itu mengepung kambing di suatu bahagian, ia akan lari di bahagian yang lain"

Rasulullah s.a.w telah mnjelaskan mujahadah dengan sabdanya, "Mujahid adalah seseorang yang berjihad melawan diri dan hawa nafsunya" (HR. Ahmad).

Sesungguhnya mujahadah dan zikrullah itu asas penyucian hati.
